Since 2008, Mr. Gamel has tried over twenty cases before the Idaho Industrial Commission, has argued before the Idaho Supreme Court on appeal from Industrial Commission decisions, and is part of a small group of attorneys who have argued workers' compensation cases through the district court system in an Exclusive Remedy Rule challenge. Mr. Gamel completed the Advanced Level Certified Idaho Workers' Compensation Specialist Course, and is a nominated member of the Workers' Compensation Section through the Idaho State Bar.
Mr. Gamel is a regular speaker at the Idaho Industrial Commission Annual Seminar, and has also spoken at the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association Annual Seminar. He has also given a speech to the Labor and Employment Section of the Idaho State Bar on the intersection of the Workers' Compensation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
He has successfully obtained significant settlements for clients who have been injured, and worked on behalf of families whose family members were killed in personal injury and work accidents.
Mr. Gamel also has extensive experience representing construction contractors and engineers in multi-million dollar residential and commercial construction defect cases.
Mr. Gamel is a graduate of the University of Idaho and obtained his law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. He is barred in Oregon and Idaho.
